On Tuesday evening, the six candidates running to serve as the next school board member for District 7 spoke about their priorities for Duval County Public Schools. Melody Bolduc, Stacie Dern, Lori Hershey, Greg Tison, Barbara Toscano, and John Turner answered questions from both the moderator and members of the audience.

But too often, these races are overshadowed by presidential, gubernatorial, and even other, more prominent local races. That’s why we work with a coalition of nonpartisan, nonprofit organizations to raise awareness about the importance of school board elections, and to inform voters about their choices through a questionnaire and candidate forums.
