What appeals to you about the work that JPEF does?
I admire JPEF's commitment to strengthening public education and creating opportunities for students. I believe investing in education is one of the most meaningful ways we can make a lasting difference in our communities and help shape a brighter future for the next generation.
Why is public education important to you?
Public education is important to me because it gives every child the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed, regardless of their circumstances. It builds confidence, opens doors to new opportunities, and provides a foundation that can have a lifelong impact.
Tell us about a teacher who really impacted you.
My second-grade teacher, Ms. Tillman, made a lasting impact on my life. I was naturally shy and reserved, but she chose me to be her classroom assistant. That role encouraged me to connect with others one-on-one and step outside of my comfort zone, which helped build my confidence at an early age. Looking back, I realize she saw leadership potential in me before I saw it in myself. Her belief in me helped shape the person I am today and taught me the power of encouraging others to believe in themselves.
