PowerUP Jax is an initiative of the Jacksonville Public Education Fund. It’s a $500 competitive grant to fund innovative projects to raise student achievement. Lead sponsor Community First Cares Foundation believes in seeding innovation and rewarding creativity among public school teachers — so they’re funding 20 projects! 

Duval County public school teachers, we are currently accepting grant applications!

We’re excited to have the “Lightning Round” contest that will provide an extra $150 to the winning grant applicant with the most votes by community members!

All of the grant winners will be entered into the running for the $1,000 Community First Innovation Prize which is presented at the 2016 EDDY Awards Gala and Ceremony on Saturday, March 12, 2016. 

Important Dates

October 2015 - 10 Duval County public school teachers were awarded grants and one teacher won an extra $150 during the"Lightning Round." The winner of the PowerUP Jax Lightning Round is Gayle Fiser!

January 22, 2016 - Spring Cycle Grant Application deadline to submit your innovative project electronically. Applications are currently being reviewed and applicants will be notified before February 22.

February 22, 2016 - "Lightning Round" voting contest begins for grant winners on the Jacksonville Public Education Fund's Facebook page. Grant winners have the chance to win an extra $150.
